Ant ragging Committee

Objectives:

To bring out an awareness among the students about the consequences of ragging.

To keep a constant eye and vigilance over ragging so as to prevents its occurrence.

To address any ragging issues immediately and taken action as advised by the committee.

Right to Information Act, 2005 mandates timely response to citizens' requests for government information. The basic object of the Right to Information Act is to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the working of government.

SC & ST Committee

Introduction:

As per the Provisions laid down by the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Act No. 33 OF 1989, dated 11/09/1989) & the Notification No. GSR - 316 (E) by Ministry of Welfare, New Delhi dated 31/03/1995 and as per the UGC Directives to be adhered and followed by the Educational Institute in this regard, following shall be the SC-ST Welfare Committee of SNGIMR.

Objectives:

This Committee shall be functioning for the following objectives of this Act.

To implement, monitor and evaluate continuously the Reservation Policy in the Institute (if any applicable).

To take necessary steps of measuring for ensuring effective implementation of the policy & programmes /schemes of the State and Central Govt. for SC-ST, if any.

To ensure the Prevention of Atrocities (as defined within the meaning of this Act) on the SC, ST Staff, Faculty and Students.

To ensure the equal opportunity in matters of employment/promotions subject to fulfilling Qualification, Eligibility criteria and Merits.

To hear and resolve the issues/complaints if any; of such nature of Atrocity reported/complained.

To conduct the inquiries on the reported & complained issues and to aid and advice the Director & the Management of the Institute in this regard for the justice and smooth functioning of the Institute.

Women Grievance Redressal Committee

Objectives:

Admission Committee

Admissions Committee at SNGIMR is the face of the Institute which is visible to the aspirants before joining the Institute. The predominant responsibility of the committee is to facilitate the admissions process of the incoming batch. However, it also guides the aspirants throughout for the CAT / Mh-CET /MAT and various entrance exams for MBA.

Objectives:

To facilitate guidance and counseling procedures pertaining to admissions in the Institute.

Discrimination against any person on the grounds of his/her disability or physical limitations and minority status is a gross violation of universally accepted principles of equality and human rights and even constitutional obligations. Equal Opportunity Cell was set up by Assumption College in June 2011, to address the issues concerning Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class and Persons with Disabilities, as per the Guidelines for Scheme of Equal Opportunity Centre for Colleges XII Plan (2012-2017)

The basic aim of the Equal Opportunity Cell is to ensure that students and faculty belonging to various diverse backgrounds of community, religion, region, gender or ability are not deprived of their basic opportunities. They all must have access to all the basic rights to promote inclusivity and harmony. Through this cell several activities are organized to promote inclusive policies and practices for all and to look into the grievances to ensure equality and equal opportunities to the disadvantaged group on campus through proper implementation of policies, skills, and programs of society. The cell headed by the Principal, heads of all the department, other staff and student members chalk out action plans to ensure the functionalities of an inclusive educational atmosphere in the campus.

Objectives:

The Examination committee is an apex body of the Institute which is headed by the Director and College Examination Officer (CEO). The main function of this Committee is to carry out Internal & External examinations, publish results and award certificates (provided by the SPPU) to the students who pass the final examinations.
